Markus Nöthiger

Markus is the Managing Director of Enemco, a Swiss based international ESG consultancy specialized in the commodity sector. His former positions include Partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers, Global Head of Sustainability for Xstrata plc. (now Glencore), Head of Environmental Risk for Swiss Bank Corporation (now UBS), and Founder and Managing Director of Ecofact.

Markus holds a Master in Environmental Science from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zurich). Over the course of many years, Markus has gathered extensive industrial experience, covering mining and extractives, banking and project finance, retail and consumer, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, transportation and logistics, and corporate and private foundations. His international professional experience spans many countries in Europe, North and South America, Africa, Asia, and Australia.

Markus currently serves as the strategic ESG advisor to Vision Blue, an investor in metal and mineral resource companies essential to the clean energy transition; as the ESG Head for Serra Verde Group; as a member of the Sounding Board for the Swiss Gold Refinery Argor Heraeus; and as a member of the Business Advisory Board of swisspeace.
